HEDAsupercap Joins GREENCAP Final Event to Strengthen Collaboration on Energy Storage Innovation
On 17 December 2025, HEDAsupercap took part in the final event of the GREENCAP project, held in Genoa, Italy. The gathering marked the official conclusion of one of the Horizon Europe initiatives advancing next-generation energy storage, and provided a platform for cross-project dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic reflection.
Dr. Faiz Ullah Shah, representing Luleå University of Technology and the HEDAsupercap consortium, joined a panel discussion during the event, contributing insights on materials development, sustainability considerations, and ongoing R&D within the HEDAsupercap project. His participation helped highlight synergies between the two EU-funded efforts, particularly in the field of high-energy-density supercapacitors.
The final event brought together researchers, industry representatives, and policy stakeholders to reflect on project achievements, challenges, and potential paths forward. HEDAsupercap’s presence reinforced its commitment to inter-project collaboration and helped keep open channels of dialogue for future joint actions.
This participation also builds on the strong clustering foundations laid during the Innovation & Networking Days in Supercapacitors earlier in 2025. As more Horizon Europe projects reach maturity, continued coordination will be critical in advancing Europe’s leadership in sustainable energy storage technologies.
